HTA2EXE
A downloadable tool for Windows
A simple GUI program that allows you to convert HTA to EXE. To do this, download the ZIP archive and unzip it, run “hta2exe.exe” and enjoy. There is also a console version, which is launched by the GUI version “hta2exe_console.exe”. Just run the command “hta2exe_console path/to/hta.hta path/to/icon.ico”.

still requires the system to have the files for the hta file i tried this to see if i could run the hta file on tiny10 but i cant so didnt work for what i needed
Unfortunately, the program works in such a way that it unpacks the HTA file, runs it, and then deletes it. This means that you need a program that runs HTA (mshta). Most likely, this is the reason
Google said virus detected when i tried to download and windows flagged as Trojan:Win32/Yomal!rfn, and when i tried to remove it said remediation incomplete. Is that a false?
I think so. If you don't trust me, the source code is here, and you can compile the program yourself. Sorry for the inconvenience
nah no stress that's all good. I had used this in the past and it had never gotten flagged so I guess it just gave me a bit of a fright. I used it and it works fine. It's really useful though, so thanks for making it :)
